Apple announced that it will be holding a special "Spring Loaded" event on Tuesday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California. During the event, the tech giant is expected to unveil the first new products of 2021 like updated iPad Pro models, a new low-cost iPad, a new iPad mini, refreshed iMacs, and the long-awaited AirTags. Now, a new report has claimed that there could be a new Apple Pencil as well as AirPods 3.
According to a leak on Weibo, Apple is preparing to launch a new third generation of Apple Pencil as well as AirPods 3 as part of its April “Spring Loaded” event.
The current Apple Pencil lineup was last updated in 2018, alongside the 2018 iPad Pro. As of today, Apple still sells both the first-generation and second-generation Apple Pencil. The third-gen Apple Pencil may include some new sensors that only work with the displays in the upcoming 2021 iPad Pro.

Apple has been long rumoured to be working on an iPad Pro with a mini-LED display. The mini-LED display is expected to offer better colours, improved contrasts, brighter imagery and will overall be an improvement over the previous generation iPad Pro. The new iPad Pro models are expected to feature some camera upgrades as well and support for Thunderbolt connection via USB-C port. These upcoming devices to be powered by an A14X chipset, which could be as powerful as Apple M1 silicon.

Apple has been working on mini-LED displays for quite some time now and there are a total of six products in the pipeline ranging from iPads to Macs.
