The handset would be fitted with a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED E5 panel with a full-HD+ resolution, according to the report. It will be powered by a 4,650mAh battery with 120W quick charging capability.
According to a recent leak, the standard iQOO 9 will also include a micro-gimbal camera. To recall, micro-gimbal OIS functionality was only available on the iQOO 8 Pro, not the regular iQOO 8. As per a recent report, it will have a Samsung GN5 50MP primary camera. A new dual-axis micro-gimbal stabiliser will be built within the 1/1.5-inch sensor.
The rumoured iQOO 9 Pro, on the other hand, is expected to feature a Samsung AMOLED E5 panel with curved edges. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform is expected to be used in the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro. A 4,700mAh battery with 120W rapid charging is expected to be included in the Pro variant.
In other iQOO news, the iQOO Neo5S with Snapdragon 888 and the iQOO Neo5 SE with Snapdragon 870 were recently announced in China. The early January launch of the iQOO 9 series may eat into sales of Neo-branded models. As a result, the iQOO 9 models are projected to be released by the end of January 2022.
