The news comes from tipster Yogesh Brar, who claims that OPPO is now doing closed testing for the Find X5 series in India, implying that the device would be released sometime in March.
OPPO is now preparing for the debut of the Reno7, 7 Pro, and 7 SE in India, with all three versions set to be live early next month. The Chinese tech company has a busy couple of months ahead of them.
As for the OPPO Find X5 series, the vanilla Find X5 is believed to be driven by a Dimensity 9000 chipset, while the Find X5 Pro is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The former is MediaTek's first true flagship chip, and how well it competes with Qualcomm's champion remains to be seen.
Both devices will be equipped with OPPO's Mariana MariSilicon X image NPU chip, which will assist the 50MP Sony IMX766 main rear camera. A 32MP Sony IMX709 front-facing camera will be responsible for selfies.
The OPPO Find X5 Pro is believed to sport a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED LTPO 2.0 panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to pack up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM with 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The battery will most likely be 5,000mAh brick and will enable 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
