According to the tipster (via Gizmochina), Samsung Galaxy S22 might come in at least three sizes, one a “Base” Galaxy S22, another a Galaxy S22 Plus, and a third called Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The two smaller versions will sport the same set of cameras, but the larger one will be equipped with a significantly more powerful set of shooters.
Samsung Galaxy S22: Expected features and specifications
The Galaxy S22 is likely to sport a 6.06-inch LTPS FHD+ display, whereas the Galaxy S22 Pro might come equipped with a 6.55-inch LTPS FHD+ screen. The higher Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a 6.81-inch LPTO screen that offers a Quad HD+ resolution. All three phones are likely to carry support for a 120Hz refresh rate.
For optics, the S22 and S22 Pro will be equipped with a 50-megapixel (main with f/1.55 aperture rating) + 12-megapixel (ultrawide) + 12-megapixel (3x optical zoom) triple camera unit. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will feature a quad-camera unit comprising of a 108-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 12-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel periscope zoom lens with 10x optical zoom.
The whole setup in the Galaxy S22 will be run by a 3,800mAh battery, whereas the S22+ will house a 4,600mAh battery. The S22 Ultra will be packed with a bigger 5,000mAh battery. As per a separate leak, the S22 lineup will arrive with support for 65W fast charging and it will also feature vapour chamber cooling. In terms of design, the S22 series will be a slight improvement over the S21 lineup.
Another tipster Tron claimed that the Galaxy S22 family will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 898 mobile platform. Select markets will receive the S22 trio powered by Exynos 2200 with AMD mRDNA GPU.
