Western Digital Elements SE External solid-state drive (SSD) has recently been launched. The new portable SSD comes with a pocket-sized design. Moreover, it features write speeds up to 400Mbps and with up to 2TB storage capacity. The Elements SE SSD is said to have speeds three times faster than an equivalent hard disk drive (HDD). It is also compatible with Mac and Windows PCs and comes with USB 3.0 connectivity.

The Western Digital Elements SE external SSD is available in three storage options – the 480GB is priced at Rs. 6,499 (about USD 88), the 1TB variant is priced at Rs. 9,999 (about USD 136) and the 2TB variant is priced at Rs. 19,999 (about USD 272). The external SSD comes in a single black colour option.

The newly-launched pocket-sized SSD comes with write speeds of up to 400 Mbps. It is said to be three times as fast as a comparable HDD. Western Digital has said that the portable SSD has a compact design and is drop resistant up to 2 metres. The device comes with USB 3.0 connectivity and is compatible with Windows 10 and macOS Big Sur, Catalina and Mojave.

The Western Digital Elements SE SSD also comes with a plug-and-play feature. It enables a seamless connection between the portable SSD and computers without the pre-installation of any additional software. Users also get a USB 3.0 cable along with the SSD.
