The international edition came with a superior chip and Wear OS, however the Chinese version shipped with ColorOS Watch, an Android-based operating system.
The OPPO Watch 2, which included a dual-OS and dual-chipset design, was released in 2021 and was available only in China. A reliable leakster now claims that the company is planning to introduce its third-generation smartwatch.
Digital Chat Station announced on Weibo that OPPO would soon be releasing the OPPO Watch 3. The leakster also revealed that the OPPO Band 2 will be unveiled by the company.
He claims that, like the OPPO Watch 2, the OPPO Watch 3 would be available in three variations. The model numbers for these products will be OWW211, OWW212, and OWW213.
However, he doesn't specify how these variants will vary from one another. Two of them might have a 42mm dial (Bluetooth-only, eSIM), and one of them might have a 46mm dial (eSIM) similar to the model from last year.
Some of the characteristics of this upcoming smartwatch are mentioned by the leakster. According to him, the wearable will have a micro-curved square display and a high screen-to-body ratio. There will be four colour options, including black, silver, dark grey, and light gold.
Meanwhile, the OPPO Band 2, model number OBB211, will only be offered in blue and black hues. The second-generation OPPO band will include NFC, an SpO2 sensor to track blood oxygen levels, and other features.
Unfortunately, that's all that we currently know about OPPO's upcoming wearables. We may learn more about the devices in the coming days ahead of their launch.
